As far back as I can remember our family has come together as a family to attend one of the local church’s annual Fall Festival.

It all started with my daughter and my nephews. And now my daughter and my oldest nephew have children of their own and they are now part of this family tradition!

We look forward to this event every year. It’s a tradition in our family to meet up at our parents house and walk a couple of a blocks over to the festival.

We look forward to seeing old friends from all walks of life.

We look forward to creating memories with the kids in our family.

We dress up for the kids and we make it fun!!

My older sister normally volunteers for one of the many areas the festival has.  We always make it a point to let her know we are there and she joins us after her volunteer shift is over.  We walk around the festival and check out all the amazing food they have to offer and then each person in my family decides on what they are going to eat.  We purchase our tickets and decide on the plan for the night.  The kids get to go on rides, participate in the cake walk and even play bingo.  My Dad especially loves the music.  He always asks my sister weeks before the festival if she knows what Tejano band will be playing at the event.

Yes, we are that family that loves to just sit back and listen to music.

Yes, we are that family that believes in creating memories and just being together.

I love how this family tradition has just become part of who we are and I love creating new memories every year!!! We are a family who is blessed to around one another!
