Places to Go and Things to Do

Bob Hall Pier and Padre Bali Park – Beach access with picnic tables, ADA accessible, bathhouses, fishing off Bob Hall Pier and so much more. No entry fee to the park. However, if you park your car on the beach, you will need a beach permit on your vehicle. Small entry fee to walk to the end of Bob Hall Pier. Do not miss!

Don & Sandy Billish Park – A couple of island moms got together and wanted to improve the playground. Fast forward to a beautiful new playground, funded entirely by donations. Way to go moms! The rest of the park was also recently renovated and now features a walking path, basketball court and sand volleyball court.

Fishing – Some of the best fishing in Texas can be in the water around our island. Let one (or all) of these guys help you land a big one!

Cos-Way Fishing Pier Bait & Tackle – Tons of gear and bait, along with a lighted pier for night fishing.

Clem’s Marina – Boat launch, fishing pier, bait and tackle.

Marker 37 Marina – Guided fishing trips, bait, fish cleaning services and boar fuel.

Red Dot Pier – Lighted fishing pier, bait and gear.

Island Cycle Plaza – Beach golf carts to rent or buy. A super fun way to enjoy the beach!

Padre Island Connection bus to Port A – Catch the bus at Waves/Schlitterbahn for a relaxing ride over to Port Aransas. Once in Port A, hop the Port Aransas Shuttle for stops all over town! An easy and cheap way to see the sights!

Padre Island National Seashore – Featuring the longest stretch of undeveloped barrier island in the world, this 70 mile beach is home to sea turtles, birds, sand dunes, flowers and white sands. Part of the U.S. National Park Service, an entry fee is required. You can drive on portions of the beach. Camping, kayaking, wind surfing, fishing and birding are just some of the things you can do inside the park. Plan to spend the whole day here!

Schlitterbahn Waterpark – Rivers, Boogie Bahn, kid splash zones, movies under the stars, dog park and more. A smaller, but still fun, version of the original.

Treasure Island Golf & Games – Two mini-golf courses to choose from, with a waterfall smack dab in the middle. Bring bug spray as the mosquitoes can be aggressive around sunset.

Watersports – Rentals are available for boogie boards, wetsuits, surf boards, stand up paddle boards and kayaks at Wind & Wave Surf Shop. They can guide you on the places to enjoy. They also stock beachwear, shoes and more.
