With the anticipation of our second boy to arrive, all I can think of is: How is it going to affect my first born son?
Will he feel left out? Will he love on his new baby brother? Will he be emotional like his mama? I think I’ve thought about them meeting for the first time more than I have thought about my actual labor.
This was our Facebook post to announce the arrival of our first born.
Our Promise to our first born November 28, 2017 at 4:39 pm “We, Marc and Daniella, take you Jayden Legend, we promise to love and take care of you to the best of our ability with guidance from god our father. We promise to guide you. We promise to provide you with everything you need. We promise to laugh with you share with you and be in the moment with you. We promise to love you through the thick and the thin, good times and bad, and lastly we promise to continue to grow and walk with God, so that we can continue to be better parents for you. This we promise you today in the sight of god and in the presence of these witnesses that our souls may be bonded together forever by love and unity that we call Family. Happy Birthday Jayden! 8lbs 1oz 20.5 in. We love you soooo much!!!”
Now of course, I had no idea how my first pregnancy would go. You always think what if this and what if that. When I had Jayden,everything was a blur. Believe it or not, I didn’t feel connected with him until after I brought him home from the hospital. But now here we are, and he’s my best friend. We are always together. He loves Disney as much as I do, and that’s s huge thing!! Now we are adding another boy and I hope and pray they have an inseparable bond.
I have written a letter to Jayden and how much of a big help he is going to be. He may not be able to understand or comprehend as to what is going on, but one day I’ll be able to share this with him.
To my First Born, my first baby, my first love, I want you to know that although we may be loving on a new baby, I will never stop loving you. Our playtime and cuddles may get interrupted for a bit at a time, but know that we are not forgetting about you. With a new baby in mama’s arms, I still want and have room for your daily hugs and kisses. I still want to hear “I love you more” with a mouthful of goldfish. It’s going to be new for all of us. Son, I can’t wait to see you be a big brother and you are going to be the best one ever! Your baby brother is so SO lucky to have a big brother like you. You can teach him all your crazy dance moves. I promise my love for you will NEVER EVER CHANGE. Now we just get to love and be loved by one more! How amazing is that. Just know you will always be mommy’s first baby and we get to show brother how we live our crazy life! Oh Jayden Legend Mungia my baby you’ll always be!
