How do you Procrastinate?

0

Hello friends, my name is Jessica and I have a problem… I am a procrastinator.

If I told you how long it took me to write this post you probably wouldn’t believe me. I have this knack for waiting to do things until the last minute. Just in case you wanted to know the first week in March is National Procrastination Week (or the second week if you procrastinate ha-ha). I know that some people may see it as being lazy or not caring, but I have always worked well under pressure.

As Scarlett O’Hara (Gone With the Wind) said, “After all, tomorrow is another day!”

Even though I’m rather organized I have my to-do lists and everything I have to do organized in my brain. Yet I still manage to put some things off. For example, last year I was going to school and sometimes instead of focusing on homework I was binge watching Netflix, reading a book, or catching up on sleep. Don’t get me wrong I always get things done. It’s just sometimes I wait until the last minute. It just felt easier to me to wait for inspiration to strike or maybe I like living wildly? Who knows?

Does anyone else have a hard time getting started on your work, projects etc.? I am going to make a case for procrastination. Now I do not suggest doing it all the time, but I don’t think it would hurt to enjoy life a little and put other things on hold. Live a little and relax, spend time with friends. See what happens when you let go.

“Nothing makes a person more productive than the last minute.” Unknown.

Of course, this is all meant to be taken in stride. If you need help to not procrastinate well, I am definitely not your gal to talk to. But if I have helped you to find your inner procrastinator then I have done my job. Wink.
