Microblog: Falling in Love With Motherhood.

fall in love

My daughter and I are alike in so many ways. When we spend time outside and both our cheeks turn bright red. We both have allergic reactions to mosquito bites. We both love our alone time. We are picky eaters, and we love to read books. She is like me in so many ways and yet she is her own little person.

I had so much to do with who she is becoming, yet she shapes her own personality. Her sensitive soul cares for others and she cares what others think. She has a curious nature always asking questions. I feel like this must be how my mother felt. Knowing she had something to do with creating a life.

I am just in awe every day of the fact that I had a part in creating someone so special. Knowing a piece of me lives inside her warms my heart. It’s crazy how amazed I feel every time she tells me I’m her best friend. Giving her super tight hugs and reading bedtime stories. From the moment I counted ten little fingers and toes to laughing at her silly jokes.

It’s the big moments and the little things that come together and make me fall in love with being a mother.
