Date Day on the Island

0

Valentine’s Day is coming up in just a couple of weeks, and, if you are anything like me, you are looking for fun stuff to do with your significant other – not only on Valentine’s Day, but any day!

To be honest we don’t get out much. With three young boys, the cost of a babysitter puts date night through the roof! We really only go out when my parents are in town visiting.  And the last time they visited we had a pretty epic date day!

We drove to the Island thinking we would just park somewhere on the beach and spend the day swimming, sun bathing, and exploring new spots to eat. That was until we drove by a golf cart rental company! My husband got all excited and we stopped to ask.

It wasn’t what you would call a cheap date, but it was SOOO worth it! We signed a few papers and then spent the day driving around the Island on a golf cart having so much fun! We stopped for supplies at the gas station and we were set.

We went up and down the beach. Stopped for a swim, went to a little German bakery for brunch, ate lunch on the pier, and just had the best time talking and reconnecting!

I am telling you if you are looking for something fun to gift your significant other for Valentine’s Day or just an extravagant date day this is the way to go! It was so simple, but so much fun. We love finding ways to love and really LIVE in our City and this was a perfect way to do that.

So – Now it’s your turn! Share with us! What is the most memorable date you’ve had in the Coastal Bend? We may try it next!

The boys not much so she is always on the look out for fun activities and adventures!
