Hi friends!! My name is Erica, and I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. In 2011, as a single mom at 19, I decided to join the military and it was the best decision I ever made. I have been an Air Traffic Controller in the Navy for 10 years and have spent most of my career here in the Coastal Bend. I met my husband here, also a controller, and for now this is where we plan to settle. We love the outdoors, being on the water or just riding around the beach. What’s not to love?!
My husband and I have two boys, Giovanni (11), Gavin (4), and a daughter, Gabriella (7 months). We share our home with our 7-year-old cocker spaniel, Sophie. Having 3 kids, being active duty military and a graduate school student is ALOT for this mama. Thankfully, I have had a lot of help from family and friends. We have found our village here.
I joined the Coastal Bend Mom Collective Team to share my experiences and challenges that I know other moms might be facing. My dream has always been to help others and make a difference. If I can help one person then I know that I am doing something right. I am excited to get started!
