Meet the Team: Madison

Coastal Bend

I made my way to Corpus Christi in 2014 for my first job as a teacher.  After one year I  moved back to Houston to be with my then fiance. After two years in the hustle and bustle of Houston traffic, my wife and I found our way back in 2017 to the Coastal Bend. Since we moved in 2017 I have taught Technical Theater at Gregory-Portland High School.  After 4+ years of living here, we are just starting to make beach days and all the local festivities a part of our regular lives, better late than never!

I am a mom to one beautiful daughter, Amelia. She was born in May 2019 to both my wife and I and we are so in love. She is the best of both of us. She was conceived via Reciprocal IVF which means we used my wife, Krystal’s egg with donor sperm and I carried the baby. It has been such a challenging, rewarding, and beautiful journey to motherhood for both of us and we are so incredibly lucky to have our Amelia. I am learning so much as a first-time and working mama, but wouldn’t trade it for the world.

Writing has always been a passion but also a therapeutic outlet and how I process whatever motherhood and life has thrown at me presently. As my wife and I began our fertility journey it became more than just an outlet for me but a way to educate those closest to us about our journey. With the arrival of Amelia, I began searching for “mom friends” and stumbled upon CBMC, and thought about how I would love to be a part of such a cool resource. This resource has since turned into beautiful friendships with women I am proud and honored to call my TRIBE.

Madison is a Texas A&M Graduate who is beginning her 6th year as a Technical Theatre teacher and 3rd year at Gregory-Portland High School. She and her wife moved to the coastal bend to be closer to family as they began the fertility process to grow their family. Madison and her wife were thrilled to welcome their daughter, Amelia, to the family in May via Reciprocal IVF. Madison has also begun working toward her Masters degree in Educational Administration at TAMUCC (gotta keep it in the Aggie family!) Talk about one busy mama! Madison enjoys time outside and has always loved to write for her own personal blog in her free time. She is so excited to start this new adventure of motherhood and to be joining the wonderful community of Corpus Christi Moms on the blog!
