Lovers of iced coffee — listen up!
The fight to be healthy and our love of java juice can now coexist with this Healthy Iced Coffee Hack!!
In another (unofficial) episode of “What I learned of TikTok – I am going to show you this easy life hack to drink a basic bee-word iced coffee and NOT drink the calories.
Step 1: Go to your favorite coffee shop (or even your house) and order 2 or 3 espresso shots, over ice, in an extra-large cup (venti for your Starbucks lovers out there like me). It costs $2.45 or $2.85 (before tax)
Step 2: Pour in an entire box of your favorite caramel protein shake. I used salted caramel from Quest. This has 30 grams of protein, 3g carbs, 1g sugar, and 160 calories. It costs about $2 (depending on how/where you purchased it).
Premier makes a good one too. But, seriously, it’s your call.
Step 3: Give it a little stir and “voila” – you have a yummy (filling) caramel flavored iced coffee drink without the guilt.
VARIATIONS:
Cinnamon:
Use cinnamon roll flavored protein shake with 2 sugar-free cinnamon dolce flavored “pumps” at the coffee shop.
Mocha:
Use a chocolate-flavored protein shake.
Vanilla:
Use vanilla flavored protein shake.
