Valentine’s Day Tree

The holiday season might be over

The stress of handpicking gifts and wrapping is over

But the magic is still up and thriving over here.

When my son asked if we could keep the tree up, I immediately thought of making our tree into a Valentine’s Day tree.

We have never done one before but I thought we deserve the warmness of the lights and the magic just a little longer.

We went out looking for decorations to add to our tree and it was in ONE single moment, while out shopping, that my son looked at me and said,

“Mama, this so beautiful like you and we can buy it and put it on our Valentimes Tree.”

My heart completed melted and instantly knew this was going to be a new tradition for us.

To him, we get to keep the tree up longer, but to this mama, it is about seeing him get so excited picking new things out.

During the Christmas season he knew he had to turn the tree on to let Santa know he was awake and if it was off Santa knew he was sleeping or was misbehaving.

Every morning he knows his “job” is to turn the tree on.

So we’ve added “Cupid” to the mix and knows he is being watched to make sure he’s behaving and listening to mommy and daddy.

So when February 14th comes around he will have a little surprise under the Valentine’s Day tree.
