gifts for dad Shopping for Dad is HARD, and when they are super passionate about the outdoors/fishing/hunting/all of the above it is even harder because it seems like they have EVERYTHING! Like literally everything! I am going to try my best to give you ten unique gifts for the outdoorsman in your house that are sure to impress!

{These are in no particular order, and they are not sponsored just a few of my favorite brands}

  1. Polarized Sunglasses– These Redtail Republic sunglasses are top of the line and are not only functional but come in a wide variety of styles! They range in price from $125.00 to $240.00
  2. Camping Hammock– These hammocks come with nets to keep the bugs out and allow you to sleep without laying on the hard, cold ground! If you do a lot of camping this could be the perfect gift for dad and the whole family! The price range on this one is $30.00 for the single and $50.00 for the double. {I think I would buy two double sized hammocks and make dad sleep in his own!}
  3. Trip to “Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park” – There are parks all over the country, but the two closest to us here at the Coastal Bend would be in Kerrville, Tx and one in Waller-Houston,Tx. We are FOR SURE making a trip this summer!
  4. Trip to the Natural Bridge Caverns– Many of us forget that right outside San Antonio a short trip away is a beautiful cavern to explore. There are several different types of tours you can go on, not to mention they now have zip lines and canopy climbing challenges and mazes. If you have a dad that loves to be outdoors this would be the perfect gift for him. {Can you tell I am on a journey this year to have experiences and making memories over giving gifts}
  5. Fishing Rod Storage/Organizer/Carrier bag– Do you have a fisherman in the family? Is he constantly trying to find a way to organize his gear before a big fishing trip, or do you have to make 10 trips back and forth to load the fishing poles! This would be the BEST gift! Keeps his gear organized and safe and helps to carry all the poles at one time! The price point is right under $30.00!
  6. Compact Survival Kit– This is great if you have a dad on your list that goes out on long hunting/fishing trips where he may not have cell service. There are so many helpful tools that could potentially be lifesaving, something you don’t need until you suddenly NEED it! {This could also work for any apocalypse preppers on your list}
  7. A Mancrate– Let me tell you, if you want to have a laugh on Christmas morning watching dad open his gift, Mancrates are the way to go! You can get totally fancy and get a wooden crate packed with goodies for him that he has to open with the crowbar that is provided. Or you can simply get him a gift card to his favorite store that he has to hammer out of concrete!
  8. CanCooker Jr. – If you do any amount of camping you know that it can be difficult to cook for a group of people. This outdoor cooker would be super handy, it can make food for up to 10 people, and do it all at one time! The price point for the Jr. Size is currently under $50.00.
  9. Fishing/Cooler Cart– When I am doing anything that is going to have our family outdoors for longer than a few hours I am all about making my life easier and more organized. So, for the dads that like to take long beach fishing/camping trips this cart would come in very handy! Not only does it help organize the gear it also makes for less trips from the vehicle to the camp/fishing site! The price point for this is $130.00.
  10. Fingerless LED Flashlight gloves– How many times have you been doing something outside with your husband that required you to hold a light for him to see and it inevitably ends up with both of you frustrated with each other! These gloves could solve that problem!! Now he can work on his project and have the light he needs literally at his fingertips! Currently priced UNDER $20.

There is nothing better than getting someone a gift that is both unique and handy!  Let us know what you end up getting your outdoorsman this year!
