To All The Mom’s: A Mother’s Day Microblog

Happy Mother’s Day to the Aunties. My Aunties who french braided my hair so tight my eyes hurt, my Aunties who always had an extra bed to stay over, and who set me straight and encouraged me when I felt too cool to listen to my mom.

Happy Mother’s Day to the Grandmas. My Grandmas added sparkle to my life, the glue to my childhood memories, and the magic to all the Holidays. I miss them.

Happy Mother’s Day to the Sisters. My sisters and my sisters-in-law. I learn from you each and every day. I aspire to be like each of you in so many ways.

Happy Mother’s Day to the best friends. To my best friend. The one who loves my kids like her own. And loves me the same on my worst days and my best days. The one that talks to me for 2 hours on the phone when we can’t be together.

To all the Mother’s who shaped me, and raised me. To all the Mother’s who are helping me raise my children too.  I am forever grateful for you. I couldn’t do it with out you. Happy Mother’s Day.

Emily is new to the Coastal Bend area but enjoys everything it has to offer! Emily and her husband Landon both grew up in Idaho, and came to Kingsville for her husband’s job as a range and wildlife biologist. Emily graduated with her BSN from Brigham Young University-Idaho. Emily has two amazing children, Ashton (6) and Brooks (16 months). Emily has been a SAHM since Brooks was born and is returning to the nursing field this Fall. When she isn’t adventuring with her family, she loves faking insomnia with a good book, trying (and sometimes failing) new recipes, listening to podcasts and taking a bubble bath.
