Worth It Wednesday: So Long Chub Rub!

0

I’ve never been a “thigh gap” kind of gal.

{Anyone else?}

I’ve always had thighs that rubbed together, from the time I was a girl til now. It doesn’t matter how fit or unfit I am, they always touch. I’m cool with it, it’s just my shape.

What I’m not cool with is the chafing of my thighs a.k.a. chub rub.

That burning, itchy, red soreness on the inside of my legs that shows up after I have walked too long in too hot weather wearing a skirt or dress or sometimes even shorts.

I have been looking for something for a while to help, and now I have found it!

Monistat Complete Care Chafing Relief Powder Gel

From the packaging: “Provides on-the-go daily prevention and relief from chafing and irritation in intimate delicate areas like the inner thigh, bikini area, under arms and breasts.”

Yes, yes and yes.

I tested this stuff hard on a recent cruise to Mexico. For five days, I walked around in sundresses and coverups, wet from the beach and damp from sweat in the heat – perfect conditions for thigh chafing.

I didn’t have any redness, irritation or soreness. Not. one. bit.

I feel relieved and liberated at the same time. I can wear dresses and skirts in the summer and not have to worry about pain the next day! Woohoo!

(Side note: I’m not sure why this is made by Monistat, a company better known for vaginal yeast infection medication. This stuff specifically says it’s not for yeast infections in case there was any confusion.)

This gel is unscented, so while targeted to women, a man could use it also, and no one would be the wiser.

I found Monistat Complete Care Chafing Relief Powder Gel at H-E-B for under six bucks. Totally, completely, one hundred percent worth it!
