Sometimes You Just Need to Cry

Sometimes you just need a good cry. Have you ever just had a moment where you felt like crying for no reason? You felt the tears coming on? Sometimes you just don’t even know why? Maybe you’re having a bad day. Or you are stressed out, anxious or angry. You may have just watched a sad movie or heard a song that moved you. Something reminded you of a loved one that has passed on. Maybe you read a beautiful poem.

I was watching a tv show the other day and one of the characters died. I started crying and couldn’t stop. I realized maybe it’s my grief taking over. Some days it may seem like it’s for no reason, but maybe there is a reason.

Are there things that make you cry? I’ll tell you something, it’s perfectly okay to have feelings even if you don’t know why you are having them. There are so many reasons you may be feeling the emotions you are feeling. If you see someone having an off day just remember they may be going through something that you can’t see.

Perhaps they have… lost someone and are grieving.

They are going through a separation or divorce.

They lost a job.

They are tired (no sleep).

They are frustrated.

They have anxiety.

You don’t know what people are feeling or dealing with unless you ask. If you don’t feel comfortable asking just be there to listen. So, if you feel tears coming on it’s perfectly okay. There’s nothing wrong with you. You don’t need to be embarrassed or ashamed. It’s okay to cry. Your feelings are valid.

Let your tears flow.

Let someone listen to your fears and concerns. If it’s someone you love crying just let them know you’re there.
