How to Celebrate Reading and Creativity for Dr. Seuss’ Birthday

0

celebrate readingI have the pleasure of sharing a birthday with the one and only Dr. Seuss on March 2, which makes celebrating that much more special, especially now that I have children. Each year, we don our stylish and fun Dr. Seuss attire and celebrate by reading our favorites like “Oh the Places You’ll Go,” “The Cat in the Hat,” “Green Eggs and Ham,” and “One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish,” but the list goes on and on. This year would’ve been his 115 birthday and the world continues to celebrate a man whose stories will continue to live on. There are many events held throughout the Coastal Bend and most occur at local schools, which coincide with Read Across America week. But if you would like to participate in the local festivities, check out some events below and take your kids to an experience they won’t forget, because regardless of age, we all have a favorite Dr. Seuss book.
