We all know it is a busy time of the year and decorating your house seems to be another thing on our list. Some of you may still be feeling the desire to spruce up the walls and deck the halls at your home before the big day.

There are many people who decorate for his holiday season and they go way out – and start before Thanksgiving even!  I, on the other hand take out all my Christmas décor and just use what I have.

You would be surprised with what you already have in your home that you can just add a ribbon to or even put in a different place in your house.  I start off by selecting a couple of places in my home that I would like to highlight.

A couple of ideas include the front door or the mantel above the fire place! The wreath I used this year was an old Fall wreath that I took apart and used Christmas ribbon and décor and just gave it that holiday touch.

Another place you can highlight is the mantel above your fireplace.  You can use some glass jars and place some ornaments inside.  Or you can use candle sticks and just change out to the color to a festive red or green.  Glass jars with ornaments inside are a great and easy way to decorate throughout your home.  Again, look around and use some of the décor you already have.

I believe this season should be about creating memories and making it simple.  The less stress you put on yourself on decorating with perfection will only leave you bit more joyful this holiday season!
