Play Dough Prompts for Rainy (or Cold!) Days

As a teacher I am always looking for ways to move away from memorization and assessment and dive into student’s creativity and artistic side. So each day I do a warm-up that requires students to draw something or respond to a prompt in a creative way. This year I decided to mix it up a little and have Play Dough Fridays.

Each Friday the students are given ten minutes at the beginning of class to create whatever prompt I have written on the board. The creativity and detail that go into this blows me away every week and has become my favorite assignment to grade.
