DIY Kissing Booth or Lemonade Stand

0

Who wouldn’t fall in love with a chubby cupid in a kissing booth? As a theater teacher I am always looking for a good DIY, add in a theme and I am here for it! So before Amelia was born I had already planned out her monthly photo shoots after looking into ways to mark her milestones. Each month I feel like it grew bigger and bigger, but February was definitely one of my favs.

Step One: Get a crate from Micheals, Joanns, or Hobby Lobby (don’t forget to use your coupon). I bought this one already painted for under $10

Step 2: I just used scrap wood for the side posts cuttings at 2 feet and the top board the width of the crate.

Step 3: Attach. (Pro-tip: If you are painting it is so much easier to paint BEFORE you attach.)

Step 4: Decorate and admire the cuteness! The best part is that I can take the Kissing Booth sign off and attach anything to it. I’m thinking Lemonade Stand next!

All in all the project cost about $15.oo and is super versatile. Although I am not thrilled about how much space it takes up in my garage. It is such a great prop to have around the house though. As Amelia gets bigger I can see her using it as a lemonade stand or for imaginative play like store or restaurant – it makes the perfect little booth.
