Kids grow fast! In a blink of an eye, your newborn is now a toddler and has outgrown most of everything that kept them thriving for the first years of their life. If you have already tried out our fun tips to reuse your old baby items, and you still have an overwhelming amount of baby or kid items floating around your house, here is a comprehensive list of where to donate or resell your gently used children items in the Corpus Christi area.

Goodwill

When you donate to goodwill, the items you donate are sold in Goodwill stores. When someone buys your item, the money from the sale of your item will fund career counseling, on-the-job training, resume preparation and other services throughout the local community. A few tips to remember before donating or reselling gently used items:

  • Make sure the items you are donating or reselling are in good condition, free of rips and stains and are still in working order.
  • Remove all hangers from clothing, including new clothing.
  • Wash all items before donating or reselling. Items need to free of pet hair. Be sure to check pockets, once items are donated. It is almost impossible to retrieve anything that was included but shouldn’t have been.
  • When donating, make sure the items you are donating are in sturdy boxes or bags without holes. It takes most donation sites a few days or more to go through all the donated items. If there are tears or holes in bags or boxes, there is a good chance bugs will get in and ruin donated items.

What other ideas for donating or reselling used children’s items would you add to the list?
