Following the success of Reliant’s inaugural crowd-sourced charitable giving program earlier this year, the “Reliant Gives” program returns to connect communities to the Texas nonprofits that matter most to them. Three organizations from across the state have been chosen by Reliant employees as finalists, and as a result, each has a chance to receive a $100,000 donation. Now, Reliant invites the public to cast their vote to select which of these worthwhile causes will be awarded the funds. This season, Reliant Gives will assist children, pets and families in need.
- Driscoll Children’s Hospital in Corpus Christi, with world-class physicians, cutting-edge technology and the only intensive care unit solely for critically ill and injured children in South Texas.
- Friends for Life in Houston, the first-ever No Kill, LEED-certified animal shelter that offers adoption and free spay/neuter services, food and behavioral training to keep thousands of animals out of shelters in the first place.
- Metrocrest Services in Dallas, which provides programs for individuals, families and seniors that lead to self-sufficiency and foster independence, including emergency rent/mortgage and utility assistance, as well as nutritious food pantry items.
Online voting runs from September 7 at 9 a.m., through September 16 at 11:59 p.m., with the awards announced the week of September 19.
