Splash Pads & Pools in the Coastal Bend


Whether you are native to the Corpus Christi area or new to the Coastal Bend, it doesn’t take long to realize that IT. IS. HOT. We are so lucky to live near the beach, but not every day (sadly!) can be a beach day. Sometimes we just need a quick cool off to escape the heat. Splash pads and pools are a super fun way to do that with your kids! Corpus Christi and the Coastal Bend have no shortage of options!

Bill Witt Park Splash Pad is the latest feature to burst onto the scene at this Southside park! Bill Witt Park is a sports and recreation-focused regional park that The park also features a playground, backstop, as well as a hike, and bike trail. Come out and enjoy everything this park has to offer!

Lindale Park Splash Pad is a fun Splash Pad that opened in 2020, featuring water spray from the various water features. This neighborhood park also includes a playground, picnic table, shade structure, grill, basketball court, and a community garden.

Manuel Q. Salinas Park Temporarily Closed for Repairs This splash pad was the latest amenity to be added to this sport and recreation-focused westside regional park. While at the park, you can also check out the award-winning Play-For-All Playground; Miracle League Field, baseball, soccer, backstop, pavilion, restrooms, shade structure, picnic tables, and a walking trail.


Collier Pool is an outdoor pool which features the BIG BUCKET DUNK! Enjoy the beach-inspired entry, experience the splash of the big bucket, fun water features, picnic tables and relax under the gulf streams, or jump into the deep end! The pool also includes six lanes and is heated during cold weather for year-round lap swimming.

The Corpus Christi Natatorium is an indoor OLYMPIC-STYLE POOL facility designed to host competitive swim meets. The pool has many lanes for lap swimming which also makes it ideal for conditioning. It now has a large, tiled-pool floor with lane stripes to guide the path for swimmers. Enjoy the warm activity pool or jump into the deep end from one of two 1-meter diving boards available!

The Flour Bluff Natatorium offers a monthly membership to the public. In addition to community lap swim hours, they also offer swimming lessons.

The H-E-B Pool is a wonderful choice for younger and inexperienced swimmers with its zero-depth entry pool, fun water features, cabanas, and a party-concession area. The fun water features encourage children to splash in the water and are perfect for play!

Parker Pool, located in Flour Bluff, is open to the public for free – weather permitting. They also offer swim lessons, swim team, water aerobics, private swim options and have a concession stand. Guests are allowed to bring in their own food and drinks but will be asked to pay a $5 gate fee.

Santa Fe Swimming Club is a private, membership only pool, located in Corpus Christi. The club consists of a private, crystal clear, 5 lane outdoor pool with a shallow kiddy platform with fountain, water slide, deep-end diving well with diving board, tennis and basketball court, ping-pong & fooseball tables, our own little library, a “snack shack” filled with goodies, covered picnic areas, indoor and outdoor showers, and changing rooms.

West Guth Pool features a zero-depth entry pool, climbing wall, and splash water features.


Alice Multi-Use Complex includes 3 water slides, a lazy river and fun areas for your toddlers. They also have a giant indoor pool which goes from 3 to 13 feet with 3 diving boards. Also at the complex: conference rooms, party room, benches, picnic tables, food truck area, concert area.


Aransas Pass Aquatic Center is a 29,000 sq. ft. facility with 3 pools, 3 slides, a high dive & low dive and a rope net for everyone to play on. Swimming lessons and other classes offered at the pool, as well as party and event packages.


Splash Pad at Flores Park The new splash pad, located in Flores Park near the intersection of 13th and Santa Gertrudis Ave., includes a new kiddie pool area at Brookshire Pool. The Splash Pad is managed by Kingsville Parks & Recreation.


Portland Municipal Parkhas 21.34 acres, a Splash Pad, Baseball and softball fields, Basketball court, Picnic areas with covered shelters/grills, Playground, Track, Concession stand, and Restrooms. This park is managed by Play Portland, TX.

Portland Aquatic Center is a year-round outdoor facility featuring two pools. The recreation pool includes a boat slide, dual slide, bubblers, palm tree splashers, and a zero depth entry. The heated competition pool features diving boards, lily pads, and floating play structures. The facility also features four large shade structures with lawn furniture.

Patrons may bring in their own food and drink. Glass containers and alcohol are strictly prohibited.

Portland Sports Complex is a 38-acre Sports Complex has four softball fields that are also suitable for baseball and soccer; a youth football field, that is suitable for a UIL (University Interscholastic League) soccer field; a multi-purpose turf field; concession areas; and a playground with splash pad. The artificial turf fields also feature sports lighting, covered spectator seating, scoreboards, dual-lane batting cages, and dugouts.


Ethel Lee Tracy Park Pavilion offers 10 Picnic Shelters – with BBQ Pits, 2 Sand Volleyball Courts, 6 Basketball Goals, a 9 hole Disc Golf Course, an Amphitheater, Children’s Playground, Fishing Lake, Horseshoe Pits, a Pavilion with electricity and BBQ Pit as well as Restrooms, a Splashpad, and Tennis Courts.

Lone Tree Creek Splash Pad offers covered tables and restrooms. Splashed details: Alcoholic beverages prohibited; Bathing suits, swim trunks and swim diapers are required; Free Entry; If daily temperatures are not expected to exceed 65 degrees, the Splashpad will not open for the day; No pool toys or glass allowed inside the facility; Size: 2,500 sq. ft.

Northcrest Pool is a membership based pool located in Victoria. Amenities include: a baby pool, a 3ft. shallow end and an 11ft. deep end, diving board, slide, shade structures, and picnic tables. Northcrest pool features Red Cross certified lifeguards and offers swim team, snack bar, private party rental, and takes a safety break every hour.


Port Aransas Community Swimming Pool is a year-round, ADA-compliant pool with a zero-depth entry area and is heated during the winter months. The pool offers deep and shallow water aerobics classes, youth and adult swim lessons, swim team, lap swim, open swim, and rentals for pool or birthday parties. A pavilion area next to the pool contains picnic tables for those who want to relax and enjoy a snack in the shade. For our sunbathers, lounge chairs and benches surround the pool.


Rockport Community Aquatic & Skate Park offers a multi-purpose, heated competition pool and a recreational pool with slides and sprays and is open year-round. The park houses an 8-lane, heated, 25-yard pool and diving area, a whale-shaped zero-depth children’s pool with slides and sprays, and a bathhouse.

Adjacent to the Aquatic Park is a Skate Park, picnic area and playground, and two nature trails.

The Skate Park, which is adjacent to the Aquatic Park, boasts a 6,000-square-foot modular facility. One must be 10 years of age or older to utilize the park.
