South Texas Botanical Gardens Big Bloom and Dollar Day Event
Explore the South Texas Botanical Gardens! Their Big Bloom Sale includes family-friendly activities. Admission is only $1! You can expect to enjoy lots of kids’ activities, butterfly and ladybug releases, reptile shows, nature tours, touch and learn tables, and more!
Celebration of Beauty and the Beast at Barnes and Noble
Barnes and Noble will celebrate the release of the new Beauty and the Beast movie. In addition to a special story time, kids of all ages are invited to sing favorite songs from the movie soundtrack and participate in other fun activities. Attendees will receive a mini-poster and bookmark, while supplies last.

Bunny Cares at La Palmera Mall
Bunny Cares is an event designed for families and children with special needs. La Palmera Mall will provide extra time (before the mall opens) and a sensory-friendly environment for children with developmental or physical challenges. Nature Story Time at the Nueces Delta Preserve
Come to a FREE nature story time for families at the Delta Preserve in Odem. They will introduce children to nature and the joys of reading through stories, songs, crafts, and outdoor play. (This event is geared for children ages 2-5.)

Free First Friday at the Art Museum
The first Friday of every month is FREE public admission to the Art Museum of South Texas. The Gift Shop and Hester’s Cafe also are open to the public.

Beeping Eggstravaganza Egg Hunt for the Blind and Visually Impaired
Beeping Eggstravaganza is a unique Easter Egg Hunt designed especially for blind or visually impaired children and their immediate family members. Children will get to hunt for brightly colored, large, beeping eggs on the football field at Buc Stadium. There will also be tons of other fun activities to enjoy including moonwalks, pony rides, a petting zoo, face painting, and more. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.
Earth Day-Bay Day 2017
Earth Day-Bay Day is a family-friendly community event that educates attendees on the importance of environmental stewardship. Businesses and other organizations will provide free education, entertainment, and resources to promote awareness and inspire conservation for Coastal Bend wildlife and environments.
Family Day Chalk Art Festival
The Early Scholars Academy invites you to a chalk art festival. Artists of all ages are invited to use their imagination to create a variety of chalk art outside. Then, explore the “Amazing Me” room for more arts and crafts and self-expression activities. Register online. The cost is $10 per child.
Family Fun Day at the Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History
The Corpus Christi Museum dedicates the second Saturday of each month to Family Fun Day! Join the education staff, while they explore a different topic each month. Bring the whole family for hands-on activities. During your visit, be sure to explore the rest of the museum, too! Cost is General Admission or FREE for members.

The Scramble- A Kids Easter Event at Cornerstone Church
Enjoy this FREE Easter event made especially for kids ages Kinder – 5th grade! The Scramble is an action packed event that includes an Easter Egg Hunt, inflatable games, candy bags, giveaways and more!
Easter Egg Hunt at Fulton Mansion State Historical Site
Hop on over for an Easter Egg Hunt for children ages 10 and under on the lawn of the Fulton Mansion. There will be three hunt zones divided by age: a tots area for ages 3 and under; a second area for ages 4-6; and a third hunt area for ages 7-10. The Easter Egg Hunt is FREE of charge, courtesy of the Friends of Fulton Mansion.
4th Annual Easter Eggstravaganza at the Natatorium
Celebrate the Easter season at the Corpus Christi Natatorium. Children ages 10 and under are welcome to participate in an egg hunt, photos with the Easter Bunny, face painting, games, and door prizes, too! ! Afterwards, the pool will be open to all ages! Cost: $4 for all ages. Event is from 11 am-2 pm with the egg hunt starting at 12:30 pm.
Fellowship of Oso Creek Annual Easter Festival
Come on out to the Fellowship of Oso Creek’s Annual Easter Festival! Lots to do including an egg hunt, games, a petting zoo, inflatables, a hay ride, a cake walk, hot dogs, sno cones, and more! Everything is FREE, too! (“Admission fee” is a non-perishable food item for the Crossbridge Food Pantry.)
Easter Eggstravaganza and Spring Craft Fair at South Shore Christian Church
Come join in on the fun at South Shore Christian Church for family fun, an Easter egg hunt, crafts, food truck, pet adoption, and bake sale. Photos with the Easter Bunny, too!

75th Annual Easter Sunrise Passion Play
This Easter tradition continues with the 75th Anniversary of the Easter Sunrise Passion Play at Cole Park. Bring your blankets or chairs. People can come as early as 5:45 am to get their spots. Watch this beautiful re-enactment of Jesus Christ’s life, death, and resurrection.
Travis Baptist Church Easter Celebration
After their Easter morning worship, they will have a special music presentation and message from the Word of God followed by an egg hunt for the kids!
April 21-23
The Texas SandFest is the largest sand sculpting event in the USA. This annual event is a great family event filled with fun, food, vendors, sun, sand, and sculptures! SandFest is on the beach between mile markers 9 and 13. Free beach cart shuttle service will be available to take people to and from the end of Sandcastle Drive and Beach Access Road 1A to the SandFest entrance gates. Children 12 and under are FREE. Adults can purchase a wristband for all 3 days for $10.
April 22
The Corpus Christi Symphony Orchestra presents Pops in the Park, a unique, family-friendly event that combines the magic of music, a synchronized light show on the iconic Harbor Bridge and a magnificent fireworks display that fills the night sky with vivid colors. This year’s theme “A Great American Road Trip” will be lots of fun!
April 30
The Buc Days Rodeo is here! Fans will enjoy two hours of extreme competition and Mutton Bustin’. The rodeo will be followed by a one hour concert in the American Bank Center arena for each of the four rodeo performances. Rodeo times are Thursday, April 27th at 7 pm; Friday, April 28th at 7 pm; Saturday, April 29th at 7 pm; and Sunday, April 30th at 2 pm.

Wednesday, April 12 is “Hoggie Hunt” in Kingsville…an Easter Egg hunt put on by TAMUK Athletics at Javelina Stadium. I haven’t seen a time yet but last year was 6pm.
