Get In a Little Relaxation Time You Deserve it.

Most of the time we get busy with our daily lives. As parents we have things that keep us busy, like work, kids, spouses, friends, and family. Day to day things can bog us and sometimes overwhelm us. We need a break occasionally and since it is going to be National Relaxation Day soon let us think of ways to de-stress and relax. Here is a list of ideas to relax that may appeal to you:

  1. Treat yourself to a day of pampering. Maybe go to a spa, get your nails done, or get a haircut. It feels good to do something for us sometimes.
  2. Take up yoga or meditation.
  3. Exercise helps with stress relief while also being good for your physical health.
  4. Listen to music that relaxes you. Music has many benefits such as reducing anxiety.
  5. Watch a funny movie. Laughing is said to help you lose calories.

Do things that you enjoy and that make you happy. Rest and relaxation are important for our mental health, and it allows us to get in much needed self-care.

  1. Walking downtown along the seawall.
  2. Go to one of the beautiful beaches of the Coastal Bend.
  3. Go to the Botanical Gardens.
  4. Enjoy some delicious food at one of the many local restaurants. 

So, pick one of all of these things next time you want a day of relaxation. Remember to treat yourself because you deserve it.
